breakthrough bleeding?
How long does this last??
I am currently on BCPs. I had a water sono last tuesday and had some light spotting on tuesday and wednesday. Thursday nothing, but then friday night i started spotting again - like the very end of my period...and it hasnt stopped. I called my RE and the nurse said it was probably a combo of the water sono and breakthrough bleeding. I didnt ask how long it would last as I assume that it would only be a day or so...
I also have an endo biopsy today. I had one a couple of months ago which came out normal, so i think today's is just something that they do before IVF (because it may help with implantation), so I dont think really matters...or at least I hope it doesnt.
anyone have any thoughts?

While I was on bcp before my last IVF cycle I had what resembled a heavy period. I emailed my dr multiple times to make sure it was ok because in all my experience that has NEVER happened to me before. I don't really remember the specific timeline of events, but my cycle was delayed about 5 or 6 times... none that were related to the breakthrough bleeding though!

Ok, now it makes sense!
BTB can last a few days or the entire time you're on the BCPs. But either way, the pills are working and doing what they have to do so I wouldn't worry about it. The bleeding is definitely not still from the procedure since that would last a day, maybe 2 at most.
