Re: breast reduction

Breast reduction is almost always covered by insurance. If a primary care (or even a specialist) can verify and document back and neck pain, etc., insurance will pay.

If insurance is unavailable, financing or up front payment probably depends on the surgeon. Most usually have free consultations.

unfortunately its not that easy.

most insurance companies make you prove that the surgery is the last resort, proof of alternative treatment in many cases is required, physical therapy, massage therapy, chiropractic care etc.

they also want to see NOTES from the doctors records over a certain period of time to see that it has been on ongoing issue.. NOT just a letter from your physician suggesting that surgery would be a good option.

it was a lot of work on both my part and my surgeons office but we did get my surgery covered by insurance.

Stacey, if you have any specific questions please FM me. i just helped my friend get approved and her surgery was this past monday so im pretty in the know about getting insurance approval.

ps... the surgery was the best decision i ever made.

all of the above. Exactly. Not easy at all. My chiropractor, gyn and GP all had to weigh in. It took about 3 months for the approval since the insurance company wanted more back up. In the end it was covered.

Most offices do offer financing plans.

Good luck.
