Breastfeeding Mom - Pump Question

Hi Ladies,

I am going to register next week, I will be going back to work FT after the baby is born and I am wondering what pump you used and if you felt it was good.

TIA

Shandra

I use the Medela Pump In Style Advanced (PISA) and have no complaints.

Re: Breastfeeding Mom - Pump Question

In My opinion, I knw you didnt ask, but I wouldn't register for it, you may need a different pump or decide you wouldn't need it and I "think" you can't return them for $$$.

I have the Medela Pump In Style, I liked it, used it maybe a half dozen times, I prefered nursing so much better and hated pumping, so it's been sitting in my closet every since DD was about 4 weeks old.

I agree. I rented the Medela Lactina and I'm glad I didn't buy as I had to stop after 3 months.

Re: Breastfeeding Mom - Pump Question

i got an automatic pump that I registered for at my shower... I liked it but The best one was the one that i bought for myself - it was the advent isis. It is the hand pump which pumps right into the avent bottles - I loved this pump much better than the electric one.

I agree too, I rented a pump and I was very glad I didn't spend the money on it. I would wait and see...

Re: Breastfeeding Mom - Pump Question

I have the Medela Pump in Style Advanced and I use it everyday and its great. I knew that I wanted to breastfeed for the whole first year so it made sense to buy it, renting would have been more expensive. I bought the pump with a BBB 20% off coupon too.

Re: Breastfeeding Mom - Pump Question

I would wait to see how the breastfeeding goes.

But I have rented a hospital grade Medela Classic, Medela Lactina and also a Pump in Style. They all worked well for me.
