Breastfeeding question re: engorgement (for babies who sleep through the night)
What does anyone do about getting engorged? My baby girl is 3.5 months and has been sleeping through the night for a month now. Her last feeding is usually around 8pm, so when we wake up at 5am or 6am, I am so engorged. I pump right away, while my husband feeds her the milk I pumped from the morning before. I stick pads in my night gown; I don't wear a bra and don't start to leak until before I wake up. It's a pain because I have to sleep on my back because I leak more when I sleep on my side. Any suggestions? Last night, I was so engorged that I manually pumped 4oz out when I woke up at 3am. Thanks!

I would have to do the same thing you're doing. If I woke engorged I immediately pumped and stored that.

I would nurse in the morning when she wakes up. THis is what I do. I also wear a bra and pads to bed.
You could also try pumping before you go to bed.
