Breathable bumper question
I think I'm going to purchase one - but just out of curiosity - when did you all stop using your bumpers? What is the likelihood of them getting an arm or leg stuck?

Re: Breathable bumper question
i never used the bumpers at all. Sometimes her leg goes through the bars but she gets it out herself. i think the bars are made to be a certain size so that children cant get hurt

Re: Breathable bumper question
I have been using the bumpers and will continue until he goes into a big boy bed.
And he is a crazy sleeper so I know he would get tangled up somehow in the bars of the crib.

Re: Breathable bumper question
I never used the bumpers that went with DS's bedding. I bought the breathable ones and didn't really think they were that great. They were always sliding down and didn't really provide much padding anyway. eta: he still managed to get his arms and legs out too!

Re: Breathable bumper question
We use the breathable bumpers to keep the pacis in the crib, not so much for DD's arms and legs. We'll probably keep them in there until she stops using a paci. DS never had bumpers, and we kept having to get up to find the pacis that fell on the floor during the night....

Re: Breathable bumper question
we used the breathable bumpers until olivia was able to pull herself up. the pediatrician said to watch out she doesnt climb it and climb out of the crib. we stopped using them at 10 months. at 15 months Olivia got her foot stuck in the slats but besides that not other injuries except for the occasional head bang against the crib.
