Breathing a little heavier/faster with high fever?
DS fever went down to 100.8 and is now back up to 104 reading with the ear thermometer. He ate cookies for a snack and took a bath and played acting totally normal. He fell asleep and I noticed his breathing was alittle faster/heavier than normal. Is that normal with high fevers?
ETA: I gave him motrin at 3:00 and it didnt bring the fever down so my ped. told me to give him tylenol around 4:30 when I spoke with him. I gave him another dose of tylenol at 8:45. Now I wish I gave him the motrin.

I think it's normal. A few months ago, I had Thomas at the dr. for fever. As ped was listening to his chest, she said his chest was clear and that he was breathing a little fast, but that was normal with a fever.
I'd just keep an extra close eye on him, but I think it sounds normal.
I hope he feels better soon!

Not sure at this age but I do remember DS breathing very fast the last time he had a high fever (he was around 16 mo) and the ped saying that was completely normal.
