Bridal shower games
Help! One of my BFFs is getting married. She's 31 and didn't even want a traditional shower, but her mom is basically making her have one. Mom is also requesting games, and has informed me that I'm organizing them. My friend is not the type of girl that's going to be amused by a TP wedding gown contest. Any suggestions for FUN shower games that won't mortify my friend?

Re: Bridal shower games
Bridal shower bingo- Make bingo cards and guest fill in the blanc spots with what gifts they think the bride got, each time bride opens a gift guest mark it off on there card (if they wrote it down) - we get all the prize for the winners at the doller store- frames lotions magnets- also make sure you put pens on each table.
Another cute thing is How well do you know ur fiance: you make a list of questions that you have to ask the groom (be4 the party) then you ask the bride the questions (at the party) and she has to guess what the groom answered Ex: Whats your favortie part of brides body? What is one food bride cant live without
Hope this helps!

Re: Bridal shower games
At my sister's shower, we did a purse scavenger hunt that was a hit.
You make up a list of items, like cherry chapstick (it must be cherry and it must be chapstick), a penny from the year the bride was born, a library card, a preferred customer card, an expired driver's license, etc. Points are based on how likely it is for people to be carrying the item around in their purses.
We had the tables play together as a team. Each person at the table with the most points got a prize.
Another good ice breaker was "find your better half." As each guest arrived, a name tag was placed on her back with the name of half of a famous couple (Lucy & Ricky Ricardo, Napoleon and Josephine, Fred & Wilma Flintstone, Archie & Edith Bunker, etc.). The idea was to ask other people yes or no questions to figure out whose name was on your back. Then, you had to find your better half. The first five couples that found their other half won prizes.

Re: Bridal shower games
i always liked bridal bingo, though i see less and less people paying attention.
the purse search is fun in the beginning of a shower. i also like word associations (ex: wedding______ (cake, toast, ring), first ______ (dance, kiss)) and guests have to match the brides.
i was just at a shower this weekend that had the list of questions to answer and they actually taped the grooms responses and played them at the shower. they also had a wedding word scramble and after awhile when they ran out of bingo prizes they started giving out raffle tickets for how many scrambled words you got right and how many questions you answered correctly and then they had a chinese auction with baskets they had made it. it was a nice and different idea.

Re: Bridal shower games
i love the questions where the fh has to answer- especially if he has a sense of humor! might border on cheesy but ive also seen where you give each table or group of girls a couple tubs of play-doh and they have to build a mini bride and groom. then the bride gets to vote on the best playdoh couple and they get a prize
