bringing food into hershey park

We'll be at Hershey next week with DS who is 15 months old, he's a really picky eater and I wanted to make sure I have enough snacks for him to get him through the day like fruit, crackers, yogurt, etc. I might have to bring a little tiny cooler bag - does anyone know if this is allowed? I'm most concerned about his yogurt, he loves it and it usually holds him over until I can get a full meal in his belly.

If food is not allowed, is the food decent for a little one? I really would hate having to feed him fries and chicken fingers.

You can bring in a cooler bag, yes. We did with water for us and a snack pack for DD...which are great, by the way if you're looking for something easy to bring along. The food there is ok. I think they did have one salad/healthy place and one with fruit smoothies. They rest are the usual not so good park food.

Thanks for the tip! I'm going to look for this at the supermarket, DS eats all of this stuff and I would feel better if he got some fruit and veggies in his tummy.

Re: bringing food into hershey park

They're so handy. I found them at Giant Supermarket in PA when we were there. I think that's the same as Stop & Shop here but didn't see them there when I was looking a few weeks ago. I did find them at Target though so maybe try there too.

And, they have different varieties!

They sell these at Target, they are near the produce in the cooler case. I think they are $2.49. Sometimes the grapes are rotten in them though, so check before you buy.

We just got back from Hershey, and we brought snacks and drinks in, and no one said anything when they searched the bags.

Also, if you bought your tix online, and they are paper, they will take your entire ticket and not give you a stub when you use it for your full day. You have to ASK for a stub back (they will rip the bottom). If you don't get something back, there is no proof of your ticket, and if your hand stamp for re-entry washes off from swimming, etc. you need to show a ticket stub to get back in. This happened to us, and luckily I asked for a stub back because I remembered from Dutch Wonderland we had a problem with them taking the entire ticket, and had no stub for the free mini golf. Also, if it were to rain, they give rain checks at both Hershey and Dutch, but again, you need your ticket stub.
