Britax Marathon vs. Boulevard vs. Decathalon
Okay, so we are finally starting to look at the convertible carseats (as much as I hate to see the carrier go ) and I have absolutely no idea what the difference is between these models (other than price) and that the Boulevard has the true side impact protection.
Please let me know if you have any of them as well as what you like about it or don't.
TIA!

I believe each seat has different Weight Capacities for the child.

Re: Britax Marathon vs. Boulevard vs. Decathalon
The Marathon does not have wings on the sides where the baby's head is. The Decathalon does, but I believe that the Boulevard's wings are wider. Thats the "side impact protection" but more practically speaking, thats where my daughter leans her head when she falls asleep in the car!
I like the Boulevard, it seems super comfy -- only downside is that it is very big!

I have the Boulevard. Bought it because of the TSIP (true Side Impact Protection), but it doesn't really help when they fall asleep in the car, DD's head still droops and flops all over the place. You can't remove it either... for some reason, I think baby would be more comfortable without the TSIP!

I have the roundabout- it also got great reviews and my DD loves it - it's much more comfortable for her than the snugride.

I also have the roundabout. This one was rated above the other three Britax seats in Baby Bargains.
(I haven't used it yet as DS is only almost 5 months and is still in infant seat.)

We have the Boulevard, primarily because of the side-impact protection. They are definitely big seats. It doesn't seem to affect either DC's sleeping ability or comfort. For me, it was definitely worth the extra $$ for the extra security of the side protection.

I have the decathalon. I found it to be small and my son hates it.

Isn't it great? Apparently, they have these clearance sales once a year when they are making room for the new seat covers. I feel rewarded for procrastinating! I actually bought one from BuyBuyBaby last week, but never installed it, then I saw the sales and took my original one back, ordered new ones on Saturday and they're being delivered today! I keep telling people -- "if you need a convertible car seat buy it now!"

The boulevard is also great when adjusting the straps as the baby gets bigger, we started using it when my DS was 3 months old and as he grew all you do is just a few knobs on the side and straps move. With the other britax like the infant carriers you have to remove the straps and readjust them, and it was always a pain for us.
