Go online to their website. They are discounted right now (through Nov. I believe). We went yesterday  .

not sure how many kids you have or their age but it might be worth your whilel to look into membership. my ds is 2 so he gets in for free so for yearly membership for DH and I (and ds getting in free) it cost us $119...$100 of that is tax deductible and it gives you access to ny aquarium, central park zoo, prospect park zoo and queens zoo...and 10% discount on food and free parking. we've been to the bronx zoo twice and the aquarium once and it has already paid for itself.
Also, wednesday is suggested admission day.

i agree that getting a membership may be worth it
as far as wednesdays - if you plan on coming be patient! i work across the street from the zoo and there are looonggg lines for entrance on nice days

Agreed. We got the individual membership which includes me plus a guest and DD is free. It covers parking which is $15 so two trips and it's worth it. We bought it at the end of july so we'll be able to use it next summer too.
