brown water
I live in an apartment complex. I was going to take a bath and turned the water on,went to get a towel and when I got back the water was brown. All my water is coming out this way right now. Why is that?

Re: brown water
Not sure of the real reason why but someone might be doing plumbing work in your building?

Yup. This would happen every now and again when we last rented in Long Beach.
I don't think the water can really hurt you but it is kind of gross.

Re: brown water
It seems to happen to us in our house when we used very hot water. It used to happen in our house growing up... its normal. lower the temp of the water!

Re: brown water
It happened wehn I lived in an apartment if they had the water turned off for plumbing issues.
In our house, it happens occasionally if a lot of water is used in the area (like if the street cleaner fills up from the fire hydrant or if there is a fire - this happened recently).
I'd run your water for a few minutes and if it doesn't start running clear (or clearer) call your management company/landlord.
