BRU truly stinks.
From now on, I will strongly suggest that people register elsewhere. If they don't, they better be gift receipt hounds or else they'll be screwed out of alot of money on returns, and be stuck with duplicate stuff.

I registered at BBB only becuase of so many ppl telling me of issues with BRU.
Plus BBB takes Bed, Bath and Beyond coupons!

I seriously just fought with them for a half an hour over this.
They refused to take back a $70 dollar play gym and a diaper holder thing that was $13 because they couldn't prove it was bought there- because it was NEVER TAKEN OFF THE REGISTRY!!! THAT is why I got THREE of them!!
Now I have to track down people to get the receipts and they, of course, don't live anywhere near here.

Jen-call corporate and complain. Tell them you will go to the news if they don't work with you. It is not your fault that their employees are incompetent where the items were purchased!

I could understand if I got one extra because maybe they didn't give the registry when they bought it, but I got THREE of the same gym and it STILL says it wasn't purchased. Same goes for about 30 other items I got that weren't taken off the registry. I am SOOO PO'ed, and I WILL be writing letters.

Ugh that stinks that they weren't taken off the registry! Do you know for sure that the people who bought you that stuff got it at BRU and brought your registry up to the register with them to take the item off?

On your registry, cant you just put that it was purchased. Like enter it in the box?
I never had a problem retruning stuff there and I had no receipts. Half the time they didnt even really check to see if the item was actually ON the registry and just took it back. Maybe try and different store?

Can you call bru and pretend you're some family member that bought something off of your registry the other day, but it never came off the registry, and ask them to take it off of your registry. Then try to go back and return it that way?

ughhh...i fear this happening..we have most of our stuff on BRU registry just b/c for most is closer than BBB. But BBB has much better customer service and knowledgeable staff.
can you try a different location? maybe its just the store u went to?

No, when you are logged in to your registry just change the qty under the purchased box to whatever you got and update...I sure hope this works, b/c that is what I have been planning on doing if I get duplicates or things I don't really need...You can also add the item and mark it as purchased immediately after.

I just changed all the things that weren't taken off as purchased. I am going to go back on my way home and try again. Hopefully- it works this time.

Oh I have totally started to hate them too I don't know which one you go to, but I find the one by Macarther Airport to be disgusting. NO one cares to help you and when you ask for help they look at you with 2 heads, like how DARE you ask them.
The showroom floor looks like a bull ran through it. I got seriously disgusted with them this time around.
I'm all about BBB from now on. I even told the lady my complaints about BRU and she said she'd been hearing a lot of that lately.
