BTDT drug-free labor moms... have a couple of questions for you

as a spin-off to the post about all-natural/drug-free labor and delivery - I am seriously considering it.
I recently found out that my doctor is a HUGE proponent of induction, CS and EPI... not what I want/expected... so the questions go to the ladies who delivered without drugs/epi:

Who is your doctor?

Where is he/she?

Is/was he/she open to the idea of a drug-free/intervention-free labor?

Or did you have to "fight" for it??

Thanks in advance ladies!!!

I used Stony Brook midwives and they are completely supportive of either unmedicated or medicated birth. Many of the things that I knew would help me have a natural birth (intermitent monitoring, no mandatory IV, freedom to move while in labor) are their standard procedures, so I didn't have to fight for a thing.

It was great.

In my personal opinion, many doctors are not natural childbirth friendly. There may be some, but they are few and far between.

Midwives are much more natural childbirth friendly. They have lower rates of c-sections, inductions, episiotmies, etc.

My dr was heavy on pushing induction with both kids.

With DS#1 I was 9 days late but the baby was not measuring very big. He asked to induce and told him only if medically necessary or if baby or me was in trouble
