BTDT MOM: Swaddle me .. Good or Waste?
I received a couple at my shower yest. and just curious if they are worth it or should i just attempt to do with blanket?

I know that a lot of moms on here used them.....
I just used blankets, and that was it.

I returned the swaddle mes I got at my shower and I got a couple miracle blankets...best thing EVER!!! We used it until 6 months and she was and still is an amazing sleeper.

I used it religiously for the first 8 weeks. I would keep 2 because you never know when you'll need to change it in the middle of the night!

used it every night for my twins until 4 ish months. loved them
blankets i found dangerous at night.. my boys were very squirmy and i was concerned the blankets would undo and trap my sons. after i saw them unwrap i didnt use blankets again.

I use it every night and my DS has been sleeping through the night since last week- 5 weeks! I tried the miricle blanket but he hated it! I think the swaddle is a must! :)

Same here. I tried the swaddle me and found that blankets worked better for us.

We swore by the Swaddle Me...I really feel like it helped DS sleep through the night. The only thing that stunk was when we stopped using it, for a few nights he got up several times throughout the night. That being said, I still think it was totally worth it

i think it depends on the kid. DD did not like being swaddled. She hated her arms being tied down and was always fighting to get out. So we would swaddle her from below the arms but it never had that tightness that it should if her arms were in there
But I know plenty of people who's kids loved it
eta - we used the miracle blanket too but again, DD hated her arms in there

I had several swaddle me's... They were great when we were still establishing BF'ing... becuase the arms being tucked in made him focus more on the task at hand .... but by 4 weeks, he rejected swaddling of the arms, so I shifted to receiving blankets and swaddled only below the armpits....
