For DS my water broke naturally before my scheduled c/s so he ended up as an emergency c/s but still before my due date and before my scheduled c/s date. DD came on her scheduled c/s date but I was told that had I not had the scheduled c/s they would have made me an emergency c/s by the next day for pre-eclampsia.
