BTDT Moms-- GLASS BOTTLES
For those of you who use or have used glass bottles, do you reccommend them? Are they really heavy? Do they break easily? Are they easier to clean?
TIA!

Re: BTDT Moms-- GLASS BOTTLES
I had bought 1 Dr. Browns glass bottle and was not happy with it. In my experience when heating it with the bottle warmer it got very hot. It also was very heavy to hold.

Re: BTDT Moms-- GLASS BOTTLES
We used bornfree glass bottles. They are great. not as difficult to clean as Dr. Brown, and reasonably durable. In 9 months, we broke only 2.
They are definitely heavier than plastic, but "too heavy"... no. DS could even hold one by himself at about 2-3 months. Since then he has stopped however. I guess the 'lazy gene' kicks in at 4 months

Re: BTDT Moms-- GLASS BOTTLES
We use evenflo glass bottles. We don't use them all that much because I bf most of the time, but I found them to be light. I like that they heat up fast. Also, they sell a silicone thing that goes on them to prevent breakage if they are dropped. DD is only 5 months, so she doesn't hold them on her own anyway. I bought a few silicone wraps for bigger bottles for the future, but we have never had any problems so far.

Re: BTDT Moms-- GLASS BOTTLES
i started out on dr browns bottles... I came to learn that they started leaking on me- even though we tried adjusting the tightness on the seal and i couldnt stand cleaning them(prior to their dishwasher run)....
I then tried Medela, and munchkin which I didnt like either...
and settled on the Born Free... they are the most expensive glass.. they are heavier than the dr browns... but they have a shorter, easier to clean vent piece inside, and they have a contoured grip to it rather than the straight glass which got slippery sometimes.
