BTDT Moms - Signs of labor

What are some typical signs of early labor?

For the past few days, I have had quite an increase in bowel movements and today I am VERY, VERY congested - more so than usual during my pregnancy. I can barely breathe and am constantly blowing my nose. My back is also bothering me more than usual - but it's not my lower back, more the mid-back. I am also contracting (for quite a few weeks now) but they are not regular just yet.

Well with my 3 I had frequent diareah , but with my last one I had backpain and It felt like I had a bladder infection

nothing.... all of the sudden one evening I began contracting... regular contractions began around 6 hours later... that's when I finally lost my mucous plug.... It only began getting intense about 10 hours after contractions started.... I was only admitted into the hospital about 17 hours after they began.... (I gave birth something like 34 hours after contractions began )
