BTDT moms - When you DC's two year molars were coming in...

did they run fevers? DD has had a fever since yesterday afternoon (daycare told me about it when I picked her up yesterday after work. It started around 5:30PM, I picked her up at 6PM).

Anyway, the fever has not gone above 101.5 in almost 24 hours. She is not eating much, but drinking (THANK GOD). SHe is putting her hands in her mouth and poking around in her mouth with her spoon. I looked in her mouth today and saw that her gums were puffy and white where the two yr molars are supposed to be, so I am thinking she is getting them and it is causing a fever. Chat Icon Poor kid. She is in great spirits and playing, then all of a sudden screaming with her hands in her mouth. Automatically I am thinking teething. Ped said that it could be a virus that toddlers do not get fevers from teething, but Gracie did when she was getting her first teeth in.

oh yea and she slept 13 hours straight through last night (w/tylenol) and is taking a two hour nap (she is still napping). I gave her tylenol at 10:30AM and she went down for a nap at 1:30PM. Any advice? Could it be a virus AND teething at the same time??? Chat Icon

Just wanting to know if this has happened ot anyone else's toddler? TIA!
