Not really sure....I was 10 days late and I was walking A LOT for weeks before- either way, it can't hurt!

Re: BTDT Moms: Did walking really help kick start your labor?
I think it helped but my husband swears it was the full moon that really did it. I walked all day for two days before I went into labor. It can't hurt...

Re: BTDT Moms: Did walking really help kick start your labor?
I walked forever and the only thing it did was increase the BH contractions and gave me a couple good hard ones, but they'd subside.

it didn't help me. With my 3rd baby I walked like crazy and was chasing a toddler around everywhere all day and was 6 day late.

Re: BTDT Moms: Did walking really help kick start your labor?
Walking didn't start my labor, but it helped it along a great deal. I went walking a ton the week I went into labor. The morning my labor started I saw the doctor and had two choices, I could go to the hospital and he can break my water or I could go walking. Dh and I went to a park and walked on and off for a couple of hours. I got to the hospital and had gone from 3 cm to 5. I then walked around the hospital for an hour or two, got to 7 cm...then my water was broken. It helped me out a lot!

Re: BTDT Moms: Did walking really help kick start your labor?
It totally helped me -I was two weeks early and I walked like crazy the last few days before I had and I did the Wii Fit a ton.. The doctor was shocked at how far along I was when I got to the hospital and I was only in labor for six hours and it was my first pregnancy, so it's worth a shot!

Re: BTDT Moms: Did walking really help kick start your labor?
It never put me into labor BUT he really moved down low by the time I was induced. I think the walking really helped get him into position...we walked every day for about 3 miles starting 2 weeks before my DD.
I had to push for 5 minutes b/c of his positioning being so low. I think the walking helped but wasn't the only reason.

Re: BTDT Moms: Did walking really help kick start your labor?
Nope. I even taight dance until I was 6 days passed my due date. DS always measured on the big side and I was so active that my Dr. never thought I'd make it anywhere close to my due date. I wound up having to be induced.
