BTDT moms- Moving from crib to twin bed

Any advice would be appreciated. How did you go about it? Just drop and go? Lay with your child? How old was your child?
My son is almost 19 months and tonight is "night 1". He willingly went in, but I laid with him until he went to sleepChat Icon We'll see if he stays asleep.. Chat Icon I am trying this now because I am due in three weeks with #2, and he seemed pretty excited about his new room. He even came to me tonight and said "bed".Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: BTDT moms- Moving from crib to twin bed

I just moved my son at the beginning of the month in preparation for #2 (my son is almost 2.5) and so far it has been perfect that it actually scared us. he loves it and no battles so far and hasn't climbed out in the morning/night yet either. We drop him in or he climbs in and dh reads him books and he falls asleep - really the same routine we had in the crib. I think he is very excited because he got a "big boys" room. He helped paint it and decorate (he brought toys from his old room into this room and put them on shelves)...I think that all helped - also took us a month to get the room ready so there was lots of chatter and talk to hype it all up....

Good Luck to you!!

we haven't converted Aly's crib yet. I don't think she'd stay in it....she'd be playing!
