BTDT Moms of belly sleepers
DD is 4 months old. Always slept on her back until a few weeks ago. Starting then, she fell asleep on her back as usual but once in a while I'd see her on her belly when I checked in the middle of the night.
Now, I'm watching her fall asleep on her belly. I'm nervous but I know that I can't keep flipping her back to her back forever.
Tell me this is ok-I know I'll be checking the monitor all night now.

I assume she can roll over?
If so, i would not worry. I too had the same things with DS. I'd put him down on his back and when I later checked on him he was on his belly!
I ended up (not sure when, I have no memory) putting him to bed on his belly- he seemed to be more content!

Re: BTDT Moms of belly sleepers
It's ok! The only way my son would sleep at all, was on his belly, from early on. I was a nervous wreck for the first few weeks, esp. since it's not recommended at all. But he just wouldn't sleep on his back. To this day, he is a belly sleeper...some babies just are. I promise, it will be fine!

Re: BTDT Moms of belly sleepers
My son was doing the same thing at 4 months. It made me sooooo nervous. But, there nothing I could do to keep him on his back. Eventually I gave up.
If your baby can lift her head up and roll over on her own then she is fine.

Re: BTDT Moms of belly sleepers
Since she is strong enough to roll over, she will be fine!
If it helps make you feel better, take out all blankets and teddy bears.

Re: BTDT Moms of belly sleepers
I remember flipping out when DS started sleeping on his belly. Now I know when he finally flips on his belly that he is comfy in the night.
The one thing that helped ease my mind was getting the Angelcare monitor once he started sleeping on his belly. Maybe the monitor is a bunch of crap, who the heck knows? But I finally started sleeping in the night.

If she can roll, you can't stop it.
And remember, we all slept on our bellies!

Re: BTDT Moms of belly sleepers
DD starting sleeping on her belly at around 4 months. Doctor said as long as she has good neck control and can roll over, then she's fine.

Jacob was sleeping on on his belly at 4 months. I would put him on his back and then he would roll over. I was nervous too!
