BTDT Moms Q about 3 mo shots and reactions...

DS has an appt for his 3 mo shots fri morning (polio and pnumecocal sp?). I totally forgot that we have a graduation and grad party to attend on Sunday. Do you think he will be ok for this or did any of your DC feel under the weather or have reactions for more than 24 hrs after these shots? Should I cancel the appt?

This is only DS's second shot appt and the first time getting these particular shots - last mo he had the DTap and the HIB and he was ok - just a little crabby with a slight fever that night.

Out of all 3 kids Lukie was the only one to have a reaction to any shots and it was a DTaP at 4 months (at 9 months his 2nd DRaP was reactionless). I wouldnt worry

DS did well with the polio. I think the Prevnar caused him to get a lump, but he was not fussy & had little change in his routine. He was a little more sleepy and a little less hungry from what I remember, and that only lasted the day of the shots.

None of my kids have had any real reaction to their shots. DS just had his and he didnt have much of a reaction except for maybe some loose bowl movements for a couple of days after. (dont know if it was related or not)
