Re: Build a Bear Pay your Age Day an Epic Fail
My kids tried to get me to go yesterday. I was like HELLLLLL NOOOOOO! You couldn't pay me to wait on a line for hours just to save a few bucks for a dumb stuffed animal that they do NOT need. Screw that.

Build a Bear Pay your Age Day an Epic Fail
I have to say we went. We spent 6 hrs online. I gave my 5 year old the option to leave many times but she was like nope I want doll. I explained they May be sold out and she may be disappointed. She was fine with it. Smithaven mall was great. We were mainly indoors and met great people. Everyone was holding spots so we could gonise the bathroom. California pizza kitchen was selling $5 pizzas. The kids were all playing. It wasn’t terrible at all. I did see 2 adults acting like children because they were on the line that was cut off. The store was well stocked. They only let a couple of people in at a time. Overall good experience. My 5 year old got her toy as did my 1 year old. Smithaven was prepared though and security was great. Waters were handed out and they also handed out some coloring sheets.
Personally, I don’t think the store should have handed out $15 coupons but oh well. The entitlement of people astound me. If adults could learn to stand on line nicely and not cause issues then events no matter how big wouldn’t turn into Lord of the Flies.

We went to Roosevelt Field at 8:30 am and there were only 50 people on line at that time. So we lucked out. We got in quick and were done by 10. Our bear was only $2 but i would never have waited on those huge lines. But i do know people who have 3+ kids who can not afford things like this and understand why they did wait on line. So some people can afford full price but others will do things like this if they do not have that privilege.

Wasn’t it only the bear though? The “body” can be purchased for $15 or so. It’s the accessories (that weren’t included in this promo) that cause you to spend $50++

My daughter picked the most expensive one which was the my little pony which is normally $30 for just the pony.
