c/s moms - how many nights were you in the hospital?
Just curious - how many nights did you stay in the hospital after your c-section?

I was told by my doc I was good to go home after 3 nights, but since it was my first and insurance paid for 4 nights, I ended up staying 4 nights total.

Same with me, DH and my Mom wanted me to stay the extra day

Had them on Friday at 7 pm. I was discharged on Tuesday morning. I was not put in a regualr room until 1 am so not sure if they considered it 4 days or if Saturday was my first day.

I came home Saturday morning.
So 4 nights.

I started my inducement on Monday 3/14, had my c-section on Tuesday 3/15, was out on Friday 3/18, 4 nights

3 nights but they would have allowed me 4 nights. If I knew then what I know now I would have opted to stay the extra night. But if I were to have another c-section, I'm not sure what I would do knowing Michael was home...
I say try to stay that extra night Teri, I personally feel that that extra night makes that much of a difference...

5 nights.
Induced Sun night, had c section mon. afternoon. Technically Sun night didnt count. They were going to release me thurs, but, gave me the option to stay one more night.

I was in 5 nights - my doctor gave me the option of leaving after 4, but then I would have to go to her office to get the staples out. I stayed the 5 so that they would remove the staples before I left and I wouldn't have to worry about it - especially since they told me I couldn't drive.

I only stayed 2 nights in the hospital after my dd was born via c/s. I'm wondering how long I will spend this time.

WOW! 2 nights! how was it for you??
See how you feel once you're in the situation. Will someone be bringing Emily to visit you each day? Maybe that will make it a bit easier. I just know that I needed more time with JUST a newborn, so not sure how much time you'll need with a newborn and a toddler! I'm just thinking of you right now, but I know telling you to stay as long as possible is easier said than done!

Same here - not includuing the night before we tried to induce, so I was in the hospital Tues afternoon-Sun (had the Csection Wednesday night!!! )

ya know, it was actually 3 nights. I had her at 1 am, then was brought to my room at 4 am, so that counts as a night I guess. Then I stayed 2 more nights. I do remember I could have stayed another one but I just wanted to go HOME already.
I'll see how i feel. I know you're allowed (usually) to stay more. It may be nice to have some quiet time with just the baby, but I worry so much about Em's food allergies and such
