c section aftermath

hi everyone!
Let me start by introducing myself..my name is Jeannine, I have a 11 year old dd Olivia, a 12 year old son jesse and just had 2 twin boys 3-14.
I am glad to post here as well now!

question:..I had a c section and have had them previously. I remember my feet swelling but not like this!
I am a 6 1/2 and am wearing a 10 1.2 shoe! ugh.
Ii swelled like all the way up to my hips...(very sexy)
How long did it take for your swelling to go down?
my doc said it will take longer this time due to multiples so I am trying to remember hoow long it took to begin with

Re: c section aftermath

my feet were swollen I think it was for 2 weeks after my c-section. I could only wear flip flops and it hurt to walk.

Re: c section aftermath

mine took approx. a week for the major swelling (feet, ankles) but my fingers didn't go back for months (DD is 4 months old and I was just able to wear my rings again last month.)

Re: c section aftermath

I'd say 2 months. When I had the girls it took a while for the swelling to go down.

I was a 6.5, during my pregnancy an 8 and now a 7.5. My feet looked like fred flintstones after birth. It takes time but I dont think you will be in the 6's or 7's ever again from a 10. The things we do for our kids Chat Icon

Re: c section aftermath

My feet swelled to the point that I couldn't even wear flip flops. I think it took about a month for them to go back down, but I'm a 1/2 size bigger now.

Re: c section aftermath

I think a month is a pretty good rule of thumb. Walking helps a lot.
