C section/nursing mommies...when did you get your period?
My daughter was born 12/30/10 via emergency C; I also nursed for the first 2 or 3 weeks. No sign of period yet and NOT preggos. heh heh!
Any idea when it comes? How long did it take? I really want to get it so I can start taking the pill!

I didnt nurse or have a csection but I was wondering the same thing. Im 6 weeks post partum today. I also want to go back on the pill. My skin is a mess!!!

I stopped nursing around 6 weeks... got my period around 8 weeks... and almost every week since.. It sucks!

had c section and still nursing at 10 months... got first af at 7 months.. there is a pill you can take though if your bfing and you don't have to wait till your first period.. talk to your gyn

I didn't BF but I had a c-section. I bled PP until almost 6 weeks and then got AF at 8 weeks.

I am 5.5 months PP, nursing and still haven't gotten my period, but my doctor put me back on the pill after my 6-week checkup. Is there any reason you have to wait? I'm on the "mini" pill which is progesterone only so it doesn't affect your milk supply. Once I stop nursing, I will go back to the regular pill.

I had a c section and nursed for 1 week... I got my period at 8 weeks post partum.

I had a c-section om 12/2 and i am still nursing/pumping. My Dr. put me on the mini pill at 6 weeks and at 7 weeks i got my period.

I think it was about 3 months

This is my second time after a C/S and still nursing with no period in sight. I actually got pregnant around this time last time so now I have the Mirena IUD in!

I had DS 4/20/10 via cs. I didn't get my period until 8/5/10. It took a while.

I had an emergency c/s also. Got my first period almost 9 months PP. I was still nursing, but had stopped pumping and went to nursing only twice a day, then got my period basically right after that.

The bleeding stopped 4 weeks after my section and i got my period 2 weeks later. At 6 week pp visit, they gave me a script for bcp.
