Cablevision hook up question
Does the Cablevision guy have to come into the house or is the hook up outside? Does he need to know where all the wires run to?

Re: Cablevision hook up question
Is this for new service? I would think they are going to want to come in to test the signal strength of the lines at each cable box location.

Re: Cablevision hook up question
yes, the hook up outside wires, then connect jacks to the places in your house that you want tv / modem / phone. So, yes you have to be home for them...

Re: Cablevision hook up question
Thanks. Will he need to know where all the wires run to? DH is driving me crazy he wants me to call the previous homeowner to find this out. My BIL says we need to know this.

Re: Cablevision hook up question
The technicians are usually intelligent enough to find the wires. They probably know more about the house than the previous owners do.
But if you are on good terms with the seller I guess you can ask.
But I am the type of person that likes to find things out for myself so I probably wouldn't bother calling them.
