I have "The Pregnancy Journal" by A. Christine Harris.
I luv this book bc it gives you a daily summary/ countdown of what's going on with the baby. Earlier in the pregnancy, I would say to DH, "Today they grew fingernails." or "Ooohhhhh.....if they are boys, they grew testicles today..." It was sooo cute!

Mayo Clinic Guide to a Healthy Pregnancy -- excellent book that takes you week by week and doesn't scare you to death like the "What to Expect" series.
Also for laughs-- Belly Laughs Jenny McCarthy's book. Actually pretty good and not super over the top. Totally brings some levity to everything.
For guys:
My Boys Can Swim similar to the Belly Laughs book but gives a good intro.
The Expectant Father more in depth and gives good explanations in plain english for guys. Each section is broken down into "what is actually happening", "what your wife is feeling" and "what you are feeling b/c of everything".
My DH has love these books and reads a chapter a night. He's been super involved and up on what is going on b/c of it. If i have complained about something he'll say "oh, that's b/c of X, Y, or Z." I know he's unusual but I've loved it.
Anyway, good luck!

Great Expectations was my pregnancy bible the first time (haven't picked up a book this time lol).
It has a week by week section in the first half, and then a lot of useful info arranged by categories in the back half. I found it very informative, and "user friendly".

I really liked "What to Expect When You're Expecting" and "Belly Laughs" when I was pregnant. I lived by the first book - I checked it every single week!

My favorite is Your Pregnancy Week by Week. I had started to read What to Expect While You're Expecting, but I really hated that book. Belly Laughs is great for a quick, fun read, but it didn't give a ton of good information.
