Re: can i ask a question without starting drama?
I know alot of people say buying from a pet store is no good and it keeps the puppy mills in business but we love our dog and I got him from a pet store. Those puppies need homes too.

I think the best thing to do is to just not go into a store that sells puppies. I've been in them before and it is heart breaking and I wanted to bring them all home. It's better to just not tempt yourself.

Re: can i ask a question without starting drama?
I agree about the breeders on the internet. We bough Charlie from a breeder online because we always wanted a Shar Pei. We did our research as best we could and fell in love with Charlie. We paid her in full and never heard from her again the whole time we were waiting for Charlie.
When Charlie came to us he had one eye completely swollen shut and it looked badly infected. I called her in the car on the way home from the airport and asked what to do and her response was "You have a health guarantee from me, send him back and I will send you a new puppy."!!!!
I was shocked and that's the last we ever spoke to her. We wound up having to tack his eyes 6 times and then getting the entropian surgery when he was fully grown. It cost us over $5,000 in vet bills last year. We don't care, of course he's our baby, but I get nauseous when I think about what would have happened to my baby if I sent him back to her. Then we found out that Missouri (where he came from) is like the capital of puppy mills!
This is a pic of Charlie the week we got him. Can you imagine packing him up and shipping him back to her? People ask where we got Charlie all the time but I never tell them because I would never recommend her.
