Can I ask a TMI question?
Ever since finding out that I was pg, I have been having bad diarrhea on and off My doctor initially said its from hormones but had me stop my prenatal to see if it gets better. I thought that it was getting better except last night at midnight, I was in the bathroom for a half an hour and it was not a pleasant experience Anyone have/had this? Any tips on making it a little better? I know that I really cant take anything. TIA!

I feel your pain! I suffered horribly with that for a few weeks in the beginning. My doc said that Kaopectate or Immodium is safe to take. Can you up your starches to try to bind yourself up?

Re: Can I ask a TMI question?
Sorry to say you are singing my song. I see from your profile that I am about a week further along than you. This week (7) has definitely been better than the last few, but I'm still not myself.
I have sworn off all veggies for the time being. It sucks because salad is the only healthy thing I crave. I have been eating rice and bananas where I can and it has helped me.
I haven't taken anything for it, thought there were days when I thought I would die without Immodium. For piece of mind, I put an extra pair of undies in my glove compartment, just in case.
Feel better.

Re: Can I ask a TMI question?
YES, this has definitely been a problem for me.
funny thing is, first tri i had such terrible constipation that just would not quit.
once second tri hit i was just the opposite...
at this point things have come back to normal - ALMOST - but i still get the runs a few times a week.
it's VERY strange

Re: Can I ask a TMI question?
I had an upset stomach throughout my pregnancy. I never took anything for it. Feel better.

Re: Can I ask a TMI question?
Yup, this is always my most prominent pregnancy symptom and usually lasts until the 2nd trimester and then calms down a bit. I never have constipation when PG... i guess that's a good thing, right?
