Can someone explain the purpose of this room in my house?
I'm going to try to explain the best I can. I have a tiny room connected to my bedroom...it's maybe 7x7. It has 2 entrances that formerly (before we owned the house) had doors--one from the hallway and one from our bedroom. It has a full-size window. It also has no electricity. What was the original purpose, do you think? At first I thought nursery???
OK, second question. What would YOU do with this room now?

It might have been a nursery; I would use it as a nursery (if needed) or a small office/study...you could always close off the door to the hallway and make it a nice walk-in closet

who knows what it once was  .
I don't know what else you have in your bedroom but I would do one of 3 things. I would either convert it into a master bath, master closet or knock down the walls and make your bedroom larger and perhaps make it a seating area?

I have no idea what the original purpose was! I am guessing closet because it had no electricity!
I would either turn it into a walk in closet for myself or a small office (can you run electricity to it?)!
Do you have a bathroom off your master also?

1) put in a bookshelf and a cozy chair and ottoman and make it a library room.
2) make it a walk in closet! Ummm, forget #1 and just make is an awesome walk in closet. If you already have one, make this one for shoes!

I agree with the knocking down the walls and making a nice sitting area.

That is what I would do too.
A nice reading room that was decorated with everything I loved - That was comfy - That I could escape to after a long day. It would be off limits to everyone.

Might have been a telephone room. I know that sounds weird but my Aunt had one with a nice cushy chair and a table with the phone one it, a floor lamp and that was it.

I would make it a walk in closet. Close off the door from the hallway first though. Great size walk in.

If you don't have enough closet space it would be an awesome walk in.
our house had a weird small loft area that we turned into my craft room/office. Its small but very well designed & its my hide-a-way. In fact I'm in it now
like your room it has plenty of natural light & its a great place to scrapbook, make cards, play on the computer, pay bills or whatever. I also have a "wrapping paper station", I love wrapping gifts & making gift baskets & its nice to have my things all set up when I need them.
I have a book shelf in here too, but I usually read somewhere else.

YES!!!! That's my idea!
I love this idea too. Put in a nice, big cozy chair so you can sit in the sun & read a book/magazine in your spare time. I also like the closet or bathroom idea. That might be more practical.
