Can we talk 2.5 - 3.5 year olds and Christmas lists?

What is everyone thinking about getting or asking relatives for our 2.5 - 3.5 year old crowd this year? I'm lost for ideas.

ETA: But seriously i'll have the same question about what to get a 2.5 yr old in about 2 months from now.

DS will be 26 months. I'm thinking he would be interested in a toy digital camera. I saw one at Target for $15

DS will be 3 in January

Santa is getting him the Thomas Misty Island set and a bike & helmet set.

From my MIL he is getting the fisher price camera and a leapfrog computer thingy

From my parents, he is getting a power wheels thing

From the aunts & uncles, I suggested:
-lincoln logs
-books
-play dough sets

We want to get DD a Power Wheels for spring time ( or we might wait until her b-day in march)
Tricycle
Arts and Crafts- paints, stamps etc
Easy games- Ants in the Pants etc

Leap Frog has a new tablet.. like an IPAD. I think he is getting that. Then cars, trucks. Maybe a constuction toy for the backyard. A sled. Maybe some baby skis that I saw in One Step Ahead. . Also thtye have this zipbin farm set that I want for him.



He has some of this stuff but, loves it.

Play tools..kitchen stuff (playfood, kitchens, mixers, vacuum, brooms, mops)

Honestly, check out One Step Ahead. They had a lot of cool stuff.

Ds will be 4 this year but some of the things he got last year (his birthday is days before christmas)

- tool bench
- thomas tracks, tidmouth sheds
- Vsmile (not discontinued) and games - at 3.5 he now really gets it
- Art activities
- baseball Tee
- bike (not a tricycle)
- Mega blocks sets (not the baby sets but the middle one before real legos) for Cars and Thomas
- Hot wheels race track

(he got tag Jr at 2yo and still plays with it)

Am I bad mom that I’m reintroducing one of last year’s gifts? LOL

She was too small and too afraid of the Thomas the Train sit on ride train set (Peg Pergo or whatever its called) I got. I dismantled it and put it in a closet. I plan to bring it back out. For $125 she better play with it! LOL. Other than that…

A camera (she likes playing with mine and her aunties. Mine is a D90 Aunties is a Nikon Coopix.. kid needs one she can play with).

- I see that target plug up there, I may go get one.

Pretty much that’s it. She will get a stocking filled with small toys. Maybe a stereo of her own so she can dance. I think my Dad is getting her a tablet type thing (tho I keep trying to talk him out of it). Maybe a book or two.

Can’t wait to decorate the tree together again, make gingerbread cookies, and maybe THIS year she can have some chocolate milk too!

We are getting DS the Thomas the Train table set..he will be 2.5 at christmas

I told family members to get him train sets to go with it as well as movies and other toys

I shop early and have most of their gifts already....though DD is loving going through the catalogs and picking out things she'd like.

my son will be 3 1/2 at christmas.

We don't buy him much. He gets a stocking and maybe 4 gifts. He gets so much from everyone else, that we don't go overboard.

Probably:

-and maybe some movies (lion king, cars2, etc).

Thank you for posting this! I have no idea what to get my 3 year old for Christmas this year. Last year I bought her a radio flyer scooter--she was too young for it. I was thinking of a tricycle this year, but I don't like the new ones they have.

The moms getting bikes - what kind are you getting? trikes or a small 2 wheeler with training wheels?

DS will be 3 in Jan so I'm just starting to look at gifts.

DD2 will be 31 months (so what is that? Like 2.5 and change?)

She's getting a pillow pet, some Dinosaur Train stuff, some Animal Planet playsets, dressup stuff, and art stuff.

That's it. We don't go too crazy.

I like the bean bag chair idea!
