Re: can we talk pregnancy & sex
I can't help you...DH and I haven't had sex since I got PG and we won't be having it until after I have the baby.
Under normal circumstances though, there is no reason why you can't have an active sex life while PG. I know many people who do. I would only be concerned if there were any bleeding after sex.

I felt that way at first. Not like he was going to poke the baby, but just the thought of it made it seem dangerous for the baby. hug:

Re: can we talk pregnancy & sex
as long as your doctor didn't say no too have fun! although...my dh is afraid too he doesn't think his is going to hurt the baby but he seems to be afraid to touch me. The doctor said it was ok, he knows it wont hurt me or the baby. He jokes and says the doc said no high impact activities...its just something I pray will pass...I have found a trick...get him in the morning while he's still half asleep

Re: can we talk pregnancy & sex
unless you are told otherwise, you can PARTY ON!
I have found myself MUCH more 'in the mood' in the 2nd trimester...that is until I was put on pelvic rest...so ENJOY yourselves!

Re: can we talk pregnancy & sex
I was a little nervous at the very early stages b4 my mucus plug had developed because the baby wasn't sealed off to infection and because the risk of m/c is higher in the beginning, I was a bit paranoid. I don't think this has any validity at all, it's just how I felt Regardless, we still had a lot of sex, we were just cautious. Now in the 2nd trimester we are a bit more carefree about it (I am still nervous to crush the baby )

Re: can we talk pregnancy & sex
DH and I waited until I was 16wks. You need to do whatever makes you feel comfortable. But I must say- there is nothing like pregnant sex!! Once you start, you can't stop.....until you get to 39wks like me and say "sex, what's that?"

You know what spoils the mood? When in the middle of it all, DH says "He grabbed me!" and starts laughing hysterically.
Yeah, really funny.

Re: can we talk pregnancy & sex
go for it! there's no reason not to unless your doctor says otherwise.
first time around it was much more scary and we didn't do it as much... but there's really nothing to worry about. it's not going to hurt the baby... on the contrary, think of all the nice happy hormones that your baby will get

Re: can we talk pregnancy & sex
Sex at every stage of pregnancy is perfectly safe unless you have any conditions that might make it otherwise - in other words, go for it unless your doctor tells you no!
There will be times when you just don't feel like it because you're tired, nauseous, etc. DH and I find it really funny now that I have a bump - it really changes the dynamics even though the bump is still small!

OMG us either and I am 10 wks tomorrow..we were going to the other day and we both got nervous...we know it is safe but it just feels scary...I think in a couple weeks, when we pass 12 or 13 weeks we will feel more comfortable, lol
