Can you get a flu shot newly pregnant?
I am not pregnant yet, but hoping to be very soon! I am getting my flu shot the end of this month, and if I am pregnant it would only be a few weeks....is that OK? When I got flu shot with DD I was already 18 wks

Re: Can you get a flu shot newly pregnant?
we just got a notice from work that the flu shot is available and it says....
Seasonal Flu Vaccination is generally not recommended for the following people: 1. People allergic to eggs or egg products. 2. People sensitive to Thimerosal (a preservative commonly used in contact lens solutions). 3. People who have an active neurologic disorder. 4. People with a fever, acute respiratory or other active infections or illnesses. 5. Pregnant women 6. People allergic to latex

#5 is very contradictory since mostly every doc highly recommends it for pregnant women

I didn't want the shot, but I remember being told that they generally dont give it to pregnant women until after the first trimester.

The regular flu shot! When you are pregnant you have the one that's mercury free.
