Can you give me some names other than Grandpa?

We will not be calling MIL's husband by the name 'Grandpa' for many reasons. MIL now said she wants a name for DS to call him by Thanksgiving. He is very good to DS and we are looking for a different type of name for Grandpa. He's Italian if that matters.

TIA for your suggestions.

I'm not sure what you mean.

My DS calls my dad Pa. My little cousins call their granda Papa and I've heard of Pop. We called my grandpa Paw.

Do you want nicknames like that? I mean, if I remember correctly you do not want the name grandpa b/c you don't want that title, so I don't know if those names help you at all.

Yes, exactly lke that! Those little nicknames. I know he will morph it into his own thing, but we need to establish what WE will be calling him in front of DS, so he picks up on that.

How about Nonna (pronounced Nun-na)? It's Italian for Grandpa.

My dad is "Grum"

He didnt want to be called Grandpa, so instead he said to call him grump. I said no to grump so he said why not Grum? This way other people wont really know shes saying grump. Hard to follow huh? LMAO

So now..Megan is over 2...and she calls him GRUM BUM! Made this up on her own. Its the funniest thing ever. I think being called grump would have been better than grum bum..but it is funny!
