My dad is called Pops. It is what my grandfather was called when he was alive so he asked to be called the same thing now that he has 2 grandchildren.

How about Nonna (pronounced Nun-na)? It's Italian for Grandpa.
Nonna is Grandam in Italian Nonno is Grandpa...
That's what my DS calls my parents. DH's parents are Grandma and Grandpa.

Jared calls my father Capa or Cappa...however you spell it. He made it up on his own and the funny thing is that in Italian, it means the head..kinda like the boss.

My dad is called Papa. 
Mine was too. My girlfriend's kids call their grandfather "G-Rex" - as in king.

my dad is nutty.
he is El D.
When pregnant, I said what should the baby call you?
he says L. D.
L=long
D=distance
(they are very upset I moved away)
he said that's the only relationship they will have, that he's always going to call him long distance.
then since josh is PR...my dad made it El D.
leo's father is grandpa Joe(joe's not even his name, no one calls him joe, he just likes joe instead of his real name)
so, josh has 2 very nutty grandfathers.
