Can you recommend your favorite books for babies?
I was a bit concerned that DS didn't like books but he seems to like the books that make sounds or have bright colors or textures he could touch.

Re: Can you recommend your favorite books for babies?
we have a bunch of texture books that i got at the christmas tree store... marshalls and tjmax tend to have them too...i am a big fan of the priddy brand of books.... i have learned to avoid baby einstein books as i hate what they use for examples of shapes (a watermellon is an oval, a circle, and a crescent all in one book)
ds really loves flipping through the pages and when we do read a story it is typically brown bear brown bear, guess how much i love you, good night moon, or I love you through and through (actually we read all 4 every night for bedtime)
he also LOVED the vtech nursery rhyme musical book which is a hard plastic toy almost that plays several nursery rhymes... he has had it for almost a year now

DS liked noisy books too - When he was about 18 mos he started saying bless you when someone sneezed - I found "Elmo says Achoo" he thinks its the best book...hard to get him to read another one.

My DS always loved the Karen Katz books, esp. the lift-the-flap ones, he also loved Sandra Boynton books. At 3 he still wants me to read them sometimes.

Books with textures they can touch are good, and books with bright colors and/or animals are usually good too.
Some of DSs favorites when he was little were
