Can you suggest a GREEN paint color for my kitchen?
UPDATE: I went to BM and got a trillion beige samples. We put them on the wall last night and I hate them all - they all look too blah, or too dark. I had a green sample (I actually probably have 35 sample jars at home) so I tried that and we may head that way. I tried Sherwood Green and it was nice but a little too "bathroom-ish" and I felt it may make my kitchen look too country. So, now I'm looking for a sophisticated green Any suggestions? Not too dark, but not feminine. _______________________________
I don't want something too blah next to my cabinets which are an off white, but I don't want anything too dark. The extremes I was looking at range from Greenbrier Beige to Mesa Verde Tan.
The flooring will be different (we haven't established what tile yet but it will be fairly light).
Any suggestions?
Also, the far wall in my kitchen runs into my LR. So how do I handle that? Should I pick a color that's dark enough to act as an "accent" wall in my LR and run it thru both rooms? It does happen to be my fireplace wall - so it wouldn't be too odd to have that wall as an accent wall. The rest of the LR is mannequin cream, so it's very light.
ETS: We have since added brushed nickel hardward to the cabinets, and molding has to go up after it's painted - so the look will be more complete.

We used Greenbrier Beige in our Den. It's a great color. Here are some pics so you can see the color in a room.

Thanks for that - it actually would contrast a bit with my cabinets. The little scrap (to show the color) I have seems to blend too much, but I guess on the wall it's better.

Here is my LR though - will that contrast enough to be an "accent" wall in here?

Beautiful LR too!
What about an olive green color for the kitchen and the accent wall in the LR. What is the color in the LR?
ETA: sorry you already said what the color in the LR was. I think Lenox Tan is a lot darker then the cream on the wall.

That's ALL DH & his father. They did everything - I made selections and they did all the heavy-lifting. We converted to gas when we bought the house (Oct 06) and have just recently been able to get to this point with the kitchen. We were without a kitchen sink for a few months at the end of my pregnancy and until DC was 8 wks or so

They did a great job! And you did a great job picking out all the materials. wow no sink for a couple of months. We didn't have a sink for a couple of month either, but we didn't live there then. It must have been hard not having a kitchen sink. Well it looks great to this point. I'm sure you will pick a great color for your kitchen and accent wall in the LR. Your house is beautiful.

Thanks so much. DH was doing the dishes in the bathroom sink during that time and there was a lot of take-out.

I'll pimp out my LR color - BM springfield tan. I think it would work in your LR as well. Are you aking the fireplace wall your accent?

That could work! Yes, the fireplace wall is the one that runs into the kitchen - hard to show it with a pic - but there's an entry way between the kitchen and LR so the two rooms share a wall. I didn't plan on doing an accent wall in the LR but we just realized we might be forced to or we'll have 2 paint colors on one wall.

I would check out BM's historical collection. My favorite green from them is Louisberg green. I agree with the decision to move away from the beiges.

What about BM Nantucket Gray? We have it in our living room and dining room and are carrying it into our kitchen too (where we'll soon have white cabinets).
I don't have that many good pics with our new moulding yet but these should give you an idea...

I like this color! Now, how would it look if I run it into my LR on the fireplace wall (pics above)?

What color is your LR now? The other two walls look similar to what we have in our hallway (shaker beige) and the colors look great together. Here's a pic of our hallway and dining room wall together (the lighting is throwing it off a little though)...
