Can you tell me what your boobs look like in a strapless bra...UPDATED
I have owned strapless bras in the past but they never were the right fit looking back now and I was able to go braless if I wanted to. Well 2 kids later and my once full 34D's are now sagggggy D's.
Anyway, I was measured over the summer because I felt like the backs didn't support me enough and I can go between a 32DD or 34D. In a strapless I defeinitly need the 32. So I bought a strapless bra from VS received it and  . My boobs fit into the cup but it doesn't look like it fits because I am getting what looks like spillage over the top by my armpit. A 34 is going to slip (if I take a measurement of right under my breasts it measures a 30 1/2)
I ordered another bra from bare necessities thinking maybe it is the cut of the bra, but I am going to have this problem because my boobies have gone south 
Update:
So I received this bra and it seems like it will be ok. The cup is fuller and their is no spillage.
I thought about getting the black one posted but I was worried I wouldn't have any shape. If you consider a pancake a book shape than that's what I have

when i am not PG, i'm a 32DDD
i got this bra from Wacoal - it's a 34DD but the band fits me like a 32. it fits SO well. no spillage, and it stays up!!

I dont really have big boobs, I mostly have a wide back. So I dont have a spillage problem. I would try something that has an underwire and fuller cup. That way you get lift support but no spillage.

Same thing happens to me....the strapless bras just never seem to make them look as good as a regular bra. I am the same size as you - 34D, and was bigger during pregnancy....I can't seem to find one I like and that I'm not tugging to keep up all night...ugh!

Barenecessities.com It was pricey ($54) but if stays put then I don't mind. The Bio-fit from VS was really horrible.

panache is great for bigger boobs, I love their line! So is Chantelle but I haven't seen a strapless from them!
