I don't think so. I am not overweight (well maybe by Hollywood standards I could certainly lose a few lbs... I'm 5'6" and about 122 lbs or so), and honestly skinny jeans make me feel SO FAT. I'm pear shaped and I always feel like the one pair of skinnies I have make my thighs look horrendous. I only wear them with a long sweater over it. You have to have a slim, very proportional body to look good in skinny jeans.

I agree, I would look so fat in skinny jeans.
I love bootcut, I think they are always in style & much more flattering.

i think it depends how you carry your weight. I'm heaviest on top (the chest, gut, etc). My hips and thighs are NOT at all my largest part, and I've actually gotten compliments when I wear my NY&Co skinny jeans. The waist is high enough that there's no muffin top, no underwear hanging out, and they're comfortable.
I also think it depends on the cut of the top of the jean, too. skinny or straight leg jeans run the risk of looking like mom-jeans if the rise is too high!!!

no, no I concur. I wouldn't feel comfortable wearing them. It's like I can technically wear a tube dress, but I know it's not a good idea.

I carry nearly all my weight in my arse, hips and thighs, so I think skinny jeans look silly on me, but I can sometimes wear slim fit pants.
I am not overweight but my BMI is definitely on the high side.

Depends on your definition of overweight. If you look at the denim options in the Salon Z department (Plus Size) on Saks.com, I don't think the women look bad at all in them.

I agree.
I feel like a sausage too- Especially around my calves / ankles.
Im loving the leggings / tunic look. After having my son I have a lot of excess weight in my tummy so anything that hides that makes me

I agree. i dont think you have to be thin, Im overweight and I wear skinny jeans.
I am a size 8. My problem area is my stomache. I am not going to pair the skinny jeans with a mid drift or body suit top but something that flatters me around that area.
Skinny jeans actually make my legs look nicer. So idk why the majority is saying its for size 0 woman. I know plenty of non size 0 that wear skinny jeans and look fine.

I think that they look great on skinny skinny teenage girls....Please no flames that is just my worthless opinion!
Oh and one more little side note...I also think that men SHOULD NOT wear them...the other night I saw a husband and wife in matching skinny jeans.......ng!!!

Well, i'm a size 14/16 and by many people's standards i am overweight
i wear skinny jeans
but, i do wear them with tops that balance me out on top, something like a tunic or something that hides my tummy since that's my biggest problem area.
If i didn't have skinny jeans, i wouldn't be able to wear some of my favorite boots since my other jeans don't look right in them.
I have found them at Old Navy, Gap and Torrid - usually they have a little stretch in them which makes them the most comfortable
everyone has their own comfort level on what they want to wear, so if you find a pair you like, then go for it!

See, I think they look terrible. This style is just not flattering on the model pictured. I would put the model in a nice pair of boot cut jeans.
