You should continue looking on this website that is mentioned in the first link. It tells you what "ingredient" to look for. The J&J body wash that I use has it listed 3 times!!! Chat Icon

So what product does everyone recommend that doesn't have these ingredients? Is it Aveeno?

I have my doubts about Aveeno since its also made by J&J - I use it, but it was not included in this test. 3rd ingredient is Sodium Laureth Sulfate (sp?)

I think I am going to look into organic soaps.

Where do you buy organic bath stuff from?

If anyone wants it I can see if my mom can order the Melaleuka stuff for you guys. I think I am going to ask her to order some cleaning products and baby bath products for us with this next order.

I use the Johson and johnshon and the gilles and grin . I will be buying new shampoos and soaps today. Which product do yo use? I want an organic one. ANy ideas are greatlly appreciated.

California Baby is Organic I believe, Earth's best sells a bath line too I think. I have seen those both at Whole Foods. Earths's best I have also seen in BRU. I think Burt Bee's Baby is also all natural and smells so nice.

This is what I have always used. They sell both of these products at Sherry's in Babylon Village as well.

Re: Cancer-causing Chemical Found in Children's Bath Products

You should also never use any soap/shampoo with Lauramine DEA.

It has showed to infect rats with pancreatic cancer in testing.

It's in adult products too.

You can look up any product on their website and it will tell you about the safety and risks of the ingredients. Even some of the Aveeno and Burt's Bees products were categorized as moderate concern. It seems that even products that don't have 1,4-Dioxane have something else in them that is potentially cancer causing.

I just know some people take it the wrong way if sales are pushed upon them, and Im so NOT a sales person, so Im just mentioning this if there is seriously any interest.

If you click on the SKIN DEEP at the bottom of the article, it gives you a list of good products, which I will be looking for for my nephew and for myself.

Did you see only certain wipes are safe? Chat Icon

Re: Cancer-causing Chemical Found in Children's Bath Products

Honestly, the rugs in your home can cause problems as does paint and nearly every cleaner. It is not easy to go "green" for everything but there are groups that can teach you how. I have considererd it but at the same time I don't buy only organic foods to eat either.
