can't believe i'm asking - can you share your burping techniques?
allison has become quite the difficult burper lately. her bedtime routine consists of bath, lotion, pjs, bottle. lately, it's been impossible to get a burp out of her. i put her down thinking that she really doesn't have to burp, but she'll wake up like 10 or 15 min later fussing. i'll pick her up and she burps. what the heck!? i spend a good 10 min trying to burp her cause i knooow she has to, but she doesn't and fools me every time. is there a different way i can burp her that's more efficient? right now i'm patting her back, sometimes rubbing it, to no avail. can anyone help? lol...thanks!!

Rub up and down very fast and then pat quicky with your hand cupped ( I got that from a PED)

I SWEAR by this:
I stand with her on my shoulder and just jiggle and bounce REALLY fast. I always get a burp within a few minutes.
Or, I would put her sitting on my knee with my hand supporting her under her chin and I would bounce my knee quickly.

We SWORE by this technique- baby on your lap facing sideways, bent at about a 45 degree angle, with your left hand applying pressure on the tummy and your right hand moving from bottom to top kind of "cupping" her back; it worked EVERY time for us:
