i really believe in the power of prayer, so im asking a favor...please
my lil 3 week old dd's newborn PKU screening came back with an elevated thyroid level..her ped said its probably nothing, as they are supposed to do this screening 48 hours after birth to be most acurate, yet since they throw you out of the hospital so fast, my dd was done literally 17 hours after birth..he says this most likely caused the levels to come back with some of MY blood as well at that time so soon after birth..
we had to go to the ped today to her more blood taken from her and sent to the lab...it was the MOST TERRIBLE thing to see my poor TINY lil newborn have a needle in the vein of her hand :( she screamed and cried in a way ive never ever heard her, and never ever want to hear again..
anyway, its been a rough day :(
please pray for us that when the ped calls us on monday, he tells us shes FINE..
this is all really starting to wear on me :(

Im sure everything is going to be fine...
Remember that the Newborn Tests are screenings and not diagnostic tests...
Im a little confused as to which screening came back abnormal. Whether it was the PKU or the Hypothyroid....either one, however, is very treatable.
