Cant sleep and my hands hurt so bad
I just cant sleep. My carpul tunnel is so terrible that it has actually made me cry and sleeping with it is the worst part. I saw the DR today (37 weeks) and ive been having contractions but im only a pinky dialated which they said can stay that way for days or weeks. I love my baby and being pregnant is such an amazing experiance but I am done!!
I just want to sleep without pain and tossing and turning for just one night.
I wanted this baby more then anything and will take it all as long as he is healthy but sometimes it really sucks.
Just needed to vent.
Anyone have tricks for the carpul tunnel PAIN I am already using the braces.

Re: Cant sleep and my hands hurt so bad
I actually had to stop with the braces because they were hurting me WORSE than not using them! Most nights I wake up at 2:30 go to the bathroom, walk around and get up for like 1-2 hours, read, sit up ...whatever then I go back down to sleep for another 2 hours or so...that helps me. I feel EXACTLY how you do...I am only 34 weeks and have had this since week 22! Soon you will have your beautiful baby and this carpal tunnel will be all gone!!!!

Re: Cant sleep and my hands hurt so bad
As I type, I have absolutely no feeling in my fingers. It's been a horrific experience...that has often brought me to tears of pain and tears of frustration. It started for me very early on and now I'm at 32 weeks and it's peaked again. I wear the braces on both hands at night or else I wake up in excruciating pain. I change positions a gazilliion times while sleeping because the pressure I put on my shoulders from side sleeping only intensifies the pain down each arm. By far, this is the most uncomfortable symptom of pregnancy for me. I have absolutely no advice, no tricks...just You're almost there.

OMG..thanks for reminding me of that horrible symptoms of pregnancy (ans my only symptom)!! I have no advice to make it better or to make it go away....however, I can reassure you it will go away within a week after you give birth!!

Re: Cant sleep and my hands hurt so bad
This started for me around 35 weeks... I had my baby on Saturday and am not wearing my braces! I'll probably wear them to sleep but it does get better!

I had it bad too. It went slowly after I had my son and it was totally gone by about 5 weeks post partum.
