Careful parking at Huntington parking lots
I got a ticket at northport LIRR today for expired inspection.
My inspection expires on the 31st of May. It's not expired.
So someone is out there getting his quota in writing bogus tickets. It will go away but it's going to cost me time to do it.
Be aware that someone has to get his quota in, even if it means writing BS tickets. And if one person is getting quotas, that means other meter maids are as well.
I'm fuming.

It's funny you should post this.
For the first time in forever, at 6:40 a.m. I saw police in an unmarked car with a radar gun trying to get speeders near exit 4 South of the S. O. B. Expressway.
I'm on there every morning and I couldn't tell you the last time I saw a cop.
Well, it is the 27th of the month.

My DH got a ticket on 5/1 for an expired inspection in the Northport LIRR lot. It was expired by ONE DAY! Totally at fault, but they are looking.

That is strange because that is the one lot I feel like they never look in.
I am so glad they weren't looking last week when I parked their twice with an upcoming Inspection Expiration and with no permit!

Something similar happened to me at the Ronkonkoma train station about a year ago (exp reg ticket but registration and inspection were both current). When DH looked at the ticket closely, it turns out it wasn't for my car! He said someone parked near me probably got a ticket and just slapped it on the car next to him/her. It was taken care of with minimal amount of time on our part, from what I can remember.
So, hoping yours gets handled just as efficiently. Sorry that happened to you! Can't believe they would be that desperate to write a ticket lol! Crazy!
