Carpal Tunnel
Mom is having surgery on June 25. Does anyone have experience with Dr. Glenn Teplitz in East Meadow? He was highly recommended.
Mom is 76..I'm a little worried.

I dont have experience with that doctor, but both of my parents had carpal tunnel surgery in the last year (mom=70, dad= 76) and both were a big success....no pain at all and relatively easy recovery.

ok, good. I tremble at the thought of general on my mom. She is disabled and not all together.

ok, good. I tremble at the thought of general on my mom. She is disabled and not all together.
I dont think they would do general for this type of surgery. My dad has a zillion health issues, and this surgery was a breeze...which was nice. I'm sure your mom is in good hands...but if you want I can give you the name of the surgeon that did my parents, for some peace of mind.

Mom is 76..I'm a little worried.
My PCP highly recommended Dr Teplitz also.
I went to him last month and he adjusted the brace that I wear at night. I see him again next month and see what the next step is.
If you don't mind, can you please let me know how your Mom's surgery goes..just in case I have to have surgery?
I wish your Mom well...

I go to Teplitz for my left wrist. He's great!! He also did my mom's elbow surgery and my brother went to him when he broke his hand twice
No worries with him. your mom is in good "hands"

oh, whew! You have no idea how good it is to hear this.
The last surgery mom had was for a brain tumor and we all said that she would never go under the knife again!
She can't use her hand and has been putting it off for over a year. Now the neurologist says she has to have the surgery or the nerves will die.
June 25..I am going with her and taking care of her.
This and dad had a skin abnormality and he goes in for more surgery on June 23! I'm taking off for that too!
The both need some TLC.
