Carpet installation?

We are having our upstairs carpeted. Its 2 bedrooms and a hall. My question is do we have to move all the furniture out of the rooms? That would be a big pain and I have no where to put it either.

You have to fully empty all rooms. They don't want anything in their way during installation.

Re: Carpet installation?

We didn't, the carpet took longer to come in and we wound up moving in first. The guys just lifted the furniture or moved it themselves, they told us it wasn't a problem. Just ask the company

Re: Carpet installation?

We actually just did this last week - 2 bedrooms and a hallway. One bedroom is already empty b/c DD isn't born yet. We did not have to empty our son's room, though. We took all small things out of his room (garbage, hamper, toy chest) and had to empty the book shelf. The carpet installers did everything big themselves. I'm 8 months pregnant so there was no way we'd be able to empty the room anyway. And when I asked the carpet company, they said we didn't have to empty the room either.
