after the rebuttal, its the closing arguments and then the deliberation, right? after the case is ruled and completed, what happens then? Can this case ever be re-tried? Like if she is found guilty and appeals it, what does that mean exactly. Do they have to do this all over again?
yes, rebuttal, closing arguments, deliberation...
she can appeal and appeal...using up our tax dollars while *hopefully* sitting on death row

If she is found guilty, yes she can file for a appeal. It does not have to be granted though.

I don't think with a new jury, just a new judge...I could be wrong though
its an appellate court - they review this entire case and then decide if it was a fair ruiling - if not it gets retried. (i am not 100% sure though)
if she gets the death penalty its automatically appealled.

The whole thing all over again, Judge, jury, lawyers, witnesses.
Apellate court decides if she gets a new trial, if they do then it is the whole thing all over again.

usually a 3 judge panel...
but basically it's not like this trial..
to put as simply as possible, she will have either 20 or 30 days (depends on state) to file for an appeal.. then whomever is repping her will have to provide the court with a record which consists of EVERY SINGLE document and transcript pertaining to the trial along with her reason for an appeal.. there will be other docs submitted by both sides and there will be a short oral argument and ultimately, the 3 panel judge will rule on the appeal.. but mind you, there is no time limit to when they have to rule on the appeal, which is why it takes the appeal process so long

and if for any reason, they have a bad sense of smell, or the can didn't smell, it could actually go against prosecution. i dont think anyone doubts the smell, but if you gave them the option to make up their own mind about it... it could have been potentially bad. this internet search thing is way more important.
