Exactly. Then throw in the diary entries saying she is happy about what she did, or whatever and bam...it was intentional. Of course the jury didn't get to see the passages from the diary though.
Was the diary ever mentioned in court? If so, I missed it. Why wasn't it allowed as evidence?? Seems like such an important thing for the jury NOT to know about.
I remember reading that they were not able to substantiate the date entries (there were no years). I could also be wrong, but I believe someone would have to corroborate that they were in fact Casey's diaries (just like George Anthony corroborated that he in fact wrote that suicide note).

Can someone clear a few things up for me?
1- where exactly was the duct tape found? Was it actually on the skull? near it? How do they know the tape wasn't used to hold the bag shut? How did prosecution come to the conclusion that it was used to suffocate Caylee or put over her mouth and nose after death?
2- Why would someone search for "ruptured spleen"? Is this something you can make happen without beating someone? I can understand neck breaking and chloroform- but the spleen thing seems so random...

I can clear up the duct tape and I appreciate you reminding me, because this morning I was thinking what if the duct tape was just around the garbage bag...however...i actually was adhered to her hair And there is some confusion whether it was actually wrapped around the skull however I believe it was on top of the skull

1. Caylee's hair was on it :( and there was s sticker placed on it as well
2. I have NO clue.. internal bleeding was searched as well..

In a child that small, all it would take is one or two good punches to rupture a spleen, not even a beating. Maybe Casey was looking to see how quickly she would die from a ruptured spleen, and decided against it since it doesn't cause an instant death.
eta- that's probably why she researched internal bleeding too, since that is what happens when you rupture a spleen

I'm not surprised that a mother who has no qualms about putting her baby to sleep with drugs would feel no remorse about her accidentally dying.
I just can't understand any of this. How do you do that to your child? How do you then MOVE her body, SEVERAL times, and not think twice about it?
While I don't believe life in prison is punishment enough for a child abusing murderer like herself, I pray to God that little Caylee gets the justice she deserves and her rotten "mother" at LEAST gets life without parole.

Besides the chloroform search, I think we can't conclude ANYTHING about the ruptured spleen, how to break a neck, etc....it would make a better story for the state, but they're not saying that's how she killed Caylee. People search for random things for whatever reason.
I'm REALLY hoping the chloroform searches, the 31 days, the lie about Zanny, the duct tape all together show premeditated murder and I REALLY hope JP goes w/the death penalty.
I don't think the above will happen, but that would be great if it did.

Let's just get this trial over and done with already!!! I feel bad for the jury - they've been away from their families for two of the major summer holiday weekends.
I heard an expert on tv the other day say that the longer a trial drags on with a sequestered jury, the more the jury starts to resent the defendant. So for Baez to keep stalling is NOT helping his client.
