Re: casey anthony trial
I would be surprised if there is anyone out there that thinks she did not kill her daughter (intentional or not).

Re: casey anthony trial
Coming from a legal background, I went into this trial with as much of an open mind as possible. While I had heard bits and pieces of this case when caylee first went missing, I really didnt follow it that closely. I have however, with some minor interruptions watched all the testimony of this trial. I have for the most part found the state's witnesses credible. I find the Anthonys' testimony suspect, however I believe George Anthony's testimony regarding his suicide note and do not believe he had anything to do with Caylee's "accidental death." I feel that based upon the evidence provided by the state that casey anthony had something to do with the death of her daughter. Until I hear the jury charge i cannot say what I would find her guilty of. I have reasonable doubt that the murder was premeditated. It is unfortunate that the defense made such an idiotic declaration in opening statements. If they had presented a plausible explaination for what happened to caylee that was backed up by the evidence, I would have wanted to believe it. However, the presented that the death of caylee was accidental drowning, that George Anthony hid and buried the body and helped his daughter cover it up. I cant believe it, yet this is what the defense say actually happened. they didnt say it was a theory of what could have happened. My facts are that caylee anthony is dead. Her death was a homicide due to her being dumped in a swamp. There is no nanny. The last person to see her alive went out partying for a month. If Caylee did accidently drown and casey freaked out because she didnt know what to do, I would think facing the death penalty would causer her to tell the truth finally unless the truth was that she killed her daughter. As a mother I cannot fathom behaving the way Casey did immediately following the death of caylee.

Re: casey anthony trial
I think that the most likely scenario is that Caylee died of an overdose of some medication (chloroform) given to her by her mother when she wanted her to sleep. As to what count I would find her guilty on, I couldn't say. I need to hear the charges presented to the jury. I do think there is reasonable doubt as to whether or not the crime was pre-meditated.

I truly went into this with an open mind. But after watching all the testimony, I truly believe she is guilty!

Re: casey anthony trial
I think they will find her guilty, but the fact that the case is mostly circumstantial will give the jury a reason to not give her the DP.

Re: casey anthony trial
I absolutely believe that Casey took part in Caylee's death. However, after watching the trial, I dont think they provided all possible answers for a jury to give her the death penalty. Personally, If I were her at 25 yrs old sitting in a jail cell, I'd probably want the death penalty myself. I cant imagine spending the rest of my life behind bars. I guess she has ALOT of time to think of what she has done.

Re: casey anthony trial
Guilty, absolutely. And the reason I believe it was premeditated is because of her behavior after Caylee died. As the prosecution pointed out during rebuttal yesterday, behaving the way she did after her baby died ACCIDENTALLY just doesn't make sense. Even if it was an accident and she panicked, how could she go to Blockbuster with her boyfriend that night and act like nothing happened?? And then proceed to tell the elaborate lies that she did, and go out partying, etc like a normal person. No mother who loves and WANTS her child could do that. I would be beside myself and would not want to be with anyone. I don't buy the "everyone grieves differently" excuse. I'm sorry but what she did was not grieving. Those prison videos sealed the deal for me too. She wasn't concerned about Caylee in the least. All she wanted them to do was get her out of jail, not find her missing daughter.

Re: casey anthony trial
If the kid died accidentally, why would you put duct tape over her mouth and drive around with her in the trunk of your car? Oh and then bury her in the woods...never once calling 911.
She killed her kid, the only issue is, they can't prove HOW with evidence. I think they're gonna find her guilty, just not of murder 1.

They don't HAVE to provide all the evidence...of course it would be nice to have it all but if they can prove it beyond a reasonable doubt, that's fine...she had 31 days to do whatever she needed to do to hide whatever Plus she wasn't in Orlando all of that time...she was moving through out FL
Scott Peterson got the death penalty based on circumstantial evidence alone. You don't always need the 'smoking gun'
